Warning hot embers How often does the fire in the stove collapse leaving burning wood and embers leaning on the window, and when opening the door it falls out? Hot embers on a base plate should be swept up immediately, otherwise a wooden floor underneath the base plate may be charred. No ash vacuum cleaner is suitable for embers. This is the most important reason to have a companion set available next to every stove in use. Tip: A correct stacking of the billets can prevent an undisered collapse of the fire. Place larger billet at the front with the thicker side to the back, into the stove. Put thinner billets at the back. The thinner ones will burn through first causing a collapse into the stove rather than onto the window. All Red Anvil brushes are fitted with an inflammable natural bristle. We give a life- long guarantee to replace a damaged brush. We have given this guarantee since we founded the company, to date not a single one has been returned. The scoops from Red Anvil are of steel. Due to the special shape, with a larger, covered capacity at the back the swept in ashes remains inside and are not lost over the edge.
